Limit exposure to extreme temperatures. Both heat and cold can trigger or worsen case of hives, and you should avoid direct sunlight or very cold water. Cut back on exercise or other physical activity that increases body temperature and may trigger hives.


Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Pressure against skin can aggravate urticaria and increase itchiness. Also use soaps and clothing detergent that are free of dyes and perfumes.


Try topical treatments to relieve itching. Apply anti-itch cream or aloe vera to skin, or take lukewarm bath with colloidal oatmeal or baking powder added to water.


Reduce stress, which is frequently trigger for hives outbreaks. immune system often responds to stress factors by releasing histamines. Try yoga or other relaxation techniques to relieve stress.
